Model Info
The Lancia Rally is a mid-engine, 2 seat rally race car. It was designed and built through the collaboration of the famous Italian design house Pininfarina and famous tuning specialists Abarth. It is based on a prodution car called the Lancia Montecarlo. Abarth extensively modified the Montecarlo's design and converted it into a full fledged rally machine to comply with the Group B regulations in force in 1982.To qualify for racing 200 examples had to be build. The 200 examples were built as Stradale's (road cars) from which the rally machines were selected and certain modifications allowed. A small number of additional cars were also built as EVO models which were allowed within the Group B regulations to have certain higher specifications.
